Hi Josiane,

With IoTS-3.1.0-Update7 -  https://github.com/wso2/product-iots/releases/tag/v3.1.0-update7, we have introduced the Device Locations dashboard to visualize all devices in a single map UI. Please refer below screenshot. In Device Locations, we are also showing device name, owner, type and the status in a pop up which appears when hovering the device marker.

In the Location tab of the device details view, all the information is displayed on the left side. Where do you want to change the display of the timestamp?

It is not possible to swap fields without doing a custom implementation.

Thanks and Regards,

Yohanna

Hi Josiane,

In order to change Data bases to MySQL, you can follow, IoTS-3.1.0 Documentation[1].

As the all new features in IoTS Update 7 will be included to IoTS-3.2.0 and will be documented in 3.2.0 documentation. However we don't have completed documentation for IoTS-3.2.0 as it is still in progress. In order to get to know latest analytics feature details, I can share an unofficial documentation with you which drafted for internal purposes. Please refer EMM Analytics document attached herewith for configuring location based service. (In order to experience samples in this documentation, you might need to have IoTS-3.1.0 update 8[2])

Unfortunately for File transfer feature we don't have publicly shareable document at the moment. However, we will get back to you soon when we able to provide such document.

Re: [IOT] Question on migration

Hi Josiane,

Currently we have defining geo fences for device groups and receive notifications using Device Management UI on our road map. But unfortunately I can't confirm exact update version at the moment which could have those features. However most likely this capability will be included in IoTS 3.2.0.

However at the moment you can still write your own execution plans on top of IoTS-3.1.0 Update 8 as per the given example in previously shared EMM Analytics document under title, Enable/Disable device camera based on geofence. More over you can publish such events using your own execution plan in to various event publishers[1] available with IoT Analytics.

The aforementioned alerting feature is only a work flow which automate creation of execution plans and event publishers from device management UI.

Thanks & regards,
/charithag

Re: [IOT] Question on migration

charithag
Hi Josiane,

Sorry for delayed response. Yes, I understand your concern. We are planing to add UI tool to define Geo fences for device groups and it was in IoTS 3.2.0 road map, but due to some another urgent features and fixes we have to ship, we are planing to release IoTS 3.2.0 on end of December without above mentioned UI tool for geo fencing. However we still have resource allocations for that task and we will be able to include it to product with update releases of 3.2.0 GA release. Also it will be available with IoTS 3.3.0 GA which is planed to release on end of 1st quarter 2018.

Unfortunately we are not providing migrations between update releases and also not recommending to use update versions for production. Update releases are provide to experience new features and improvements which supposed to ship with next GA.

Anyway one thing you can do is diff and compare db scripts of both update versions and do the DB changes manually. In that way you can migrate your data form 3.1.0-update1 to update8.

Thanks & regards,
/charithag

Yohanna

Hello
I have a problem with the device management. in fact, I use the platform wso2 iot 3.1.0 to geolocate android devices. However it is very difficult to recognize who owns the device by looking at its id. I would like to know if it is possible to change the id of android devices with the phone number for example and change the display of the timeStamp parameter in hour, minute and second. If it is possible to do so, please inform me about how to do it.

cordially josiane.
