Periodic network access from sample services is unfriendly
----------------------------------------------------------

                 Key: MASHUP-1106
                 URL: https://wso2.org/jira/browse/MASHUP-1106
             Project: WSO2 Mashup Server
          Issue Type: Bug
            Reporter: Jonathan Marsh
            Assignee: Channa Gunawardena

TomatoTube and formulaFlicks both do some prefetching of content regularly, regardless of whether the user has activated those services or not.  Imagine millions of Mashup Servers deployed - it would constitute a DoS attack on the feeds that are called.  Perhaps we could have the service activate on first use.

[jira] Resolved: (MASHUP-1106) Periodic network access from sample services is unfriendly

Ruchira Wageesha resolved MASHUP-1106.
--------------------------------------

Assignee: Ruchira Wageesha  (was: Keith Godwin Chapman)
    Resolution: Fixed

The sample tomatotube has modified in the way it starts periodic refreshing only when the service is called for the first time. Further now we have integrated an admin UI to view/edit scheduled task. From that UI, admin can edit/delete unwanted tasks.
